Salifert® Silicate Si Profi Test - Water test set for the determination of the silicate content.

Silicate occurs mainly in tap water or purified water when the RO or DI unit is not working properly. Silicate not only leads to diatom bloom, but can also block some important trace elements such as vanadium and molybdenum.

Salifert offers the very sensitive and accurate Salifert® Silicate Si Profi Test. Silicate levels can be reduced by using the granular phosphate killer or the liquid phosphate eliminator. Although both are designed for phosphate removal, they also have a very high affinity for silicate.

Approximately 60 tests per kit. The range is 0.03 - 30 ppm as SiO2.
