Exo Terra Jungle Soil is a 100% natural, biodegradable terrarium substrate made from sustainably sourced tree bark. Exo Terra Jungle Soil is the ideal decorative substrate for moisture-loving reptiles, amphibians and invertebrates from tropical forests. Hygroscopic properties regulate the humidity in the terrarium in a natural way: The bark absorbs and then slowly releases the moisture again. The finely shredded pine bark stimulates natural burrowing and hiding behavior and enables reptiles to dig burrows for egg-laying similar to those found in nature. Exo Terra Jungle Soil is heat-treated to prevent bacterial contamination.

Instructions for use:

Spread a 3-5 cm thick layer of the bark on the terrarium floor. Moisten the substrate as needed to achieve the required moisture level and use an Exo Terra Hygrometer to monitor. Remove heavily soiled substrate selectively on a daily basis. Replace the substrate completely as required.
